MUKHYMANTRI SWAROJGAR YOJNA (MSY) is the incentive-linked subsidy scheme of the Government of Uttarakhand also known as UTTARAKHAND CHIEF MINISTER SELF-EMPLOYMENT SCHEME. The scheme was launched in May 2020 for the migrant who returned to the state due to COVID19 with a mission to promote the youth, skilled/unskilled artisans, handicraftsmen, and educated urban and rural unemployed persons to establish their own businesses with a mission of self-employment generation.
The aim of this self-employment scheme is to provide opportunities for young entrepreneurs and migrants to set up their own businesses. This self-employment subsidy scheme is applicable to individuals who are permanent residents of the Uttarakhand and provides subsidies loan facilities through Nationalized/ Scheduled Commercial Banks, State Co-operative Banks/ Regional Rural Banks. The goals of Uttarakhand Mukhymantri Swarojgar Yojna (MSY) are:
- To generate ample opportunities in rural and urban areas by establishing Micro, Manufacturing units, Micro Services industries, Trading business, and micro-industries
- To provide opportunities for Self-employment for youth, women, Covid 19 migrants, skilled/unskilled artisans, handicraftsmen, and other urban-rural unemployed.
- To prevent migration from hilly and rural areas of Uttarakhand to other states or countries
Applicability & Eligibility Criteria Of Uttarakhand Mukhymantri Swarojgar Yojna (MSY)
The Uttarakhand Mukhymantri Swarojgar Yojna (MSY) is applicable to an Individual entrepreneur having existing business enterprises or wanting to set up a new business in Uttarakhand. The eligibility criteria for Mukhymantri Swarojgar Yojna (MSY) are:-
1. Only an Individual can apply who should be at least 18 years at the time of application.
2. There is no education qualification required.
3. The financing facility will be available to the service industry and business sector which include manufacturing, Service & trading activities.
4. The applicant or entity should not be a loan defaulter of any nationalized bank / financial institution / cooperative bank or institution etc.
5. No Prior benefit of any other government scheme of self-employment operated by Govt. of India or State Govt. has not been received by the applicant in the immediate past 5 years.
6. The benefit of the scheme can be taken single time by one member of the family only under this scheme.
7. The benefit of the beneficiaries for special category (Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Minorities, Ex-Servicemen, Women and Persons with Disabilities) shall mandatory requires to attach a certified copy of the certificates issued by the competent authority special category along with the application.
8. An affidavit will have to be submitted by the applicant regarding fulfillment of the eligibility conditions.
9. Selection of beneficiaries will be done on the basis of "First Come First Serve" based on the project feasibility of receiving more applications.
